Free Camping at Kohagens Beach
Welcome to Kohagens Badplats in Sandhem – a peaceful and scenic spot for simple, nature-based camping.
There’s a large grassy area where you can camp for free, and a designated motorhome parking area with space for around 8 vehicles, including 2 spots with electricity. The site also offers a small playground and a beach volleyball court.

Fishing in Sandhem
Sandhemssjön is a lake of approximately 84 hectares, located right next to the village of Sandhem. A small canal flows from the nearby Släpesjön, the village’s smaller lake, through the community and into Sandhemssjön.
For those without a boat, the canal offers easy access for fishing, and there are also a few suitable spots along the lake’s shoreline—though fishing from the swimming pier is not recommended.

Axtorps Jakt
Axtorps Jakt offers a unique opportunity to train hunting dogs on live wild boar in secure enclosures. The facility includes two fenced areas of approximately 4 hectares each, with wild boars aged one to two years.
The enclosures are approved by the County Administrative Board of Jönköping and provide a calm, controlled setting where dogs can gain experience and develop proper behavior before real-life hunts.
