A Legendary Walk With Laughter in Every Step
Mark your calendar: August 9, 2025 – it’s time for the most joyful walk of the year in Sandhem! Since 2012, the 19 km Blannöl has brought together happy hikers from all over Sweden for a day full of laughter, music, and unforgettable moments.
The adventure starts around 9:00 AM outside Matöppet in Sandhem, and takes you through the countryside past Vistorp, with a food break in Kättilstorp. On the way back, the trail passes “Ryttarn” before leading back to Sandhem. After the walk, treat yourself to a bite at Sandhem’s Pizzeria or cool off with a swim at Kohagens beach, where you can also set up a tent and spend the night. Toilets and fresh water are available.
Whether you’re in full costume or casual clothes, this is the place to meet new people, laugh till your stomach hurts, and enjoy the summer together. Everyone is welcome – young or old – but you must be 18 or older to drink alcohol.
One Beer Per Kilometer – Or Just Pure Fun
The name “19 km Blannöl” comes from the original idea: one beer per kilometer. Cider works too – or skip the drinks altogether and just walk, talk, and laugh. It’s not about performance, it’s about connection.
Expect spontaneous mini-parties along the way, music, dancing, and plenty of new friendships. But with fun comes responsibility:
Don’t litter
No cigarette butts on the ground
You’ll find bins for bottles and cans every kilometer. Pro tip: bring water, pace yourself, and enjoy every step.
